National Mirror Groups
A National Mirror Group (NMG) is a multi‑stakeholder national hub established in every country participating in ERDERA to strengthen rare disease research and policy alignment.
NMGs bring together key national actors — including authorities, researchers, funders, healthcare providers, and patient organisations — to ensure a cohesive rare disease community and an effective bridge to international collaboration.
National Mirror Groups (NMGs) play a central role in ensuring coordination at both national and international levels. Their purpose is to:
- Build or sustain a cohesive rare disease community at national level.
- Channel national needs and good practices into ERDERA.
- Disseminate and help implement ERDERA outputs at home.
- Foster peer-to-peer exchange between countries.
