A shared framework outlining the values and principles needed to support high‑quality Patient and Public Involvement in research.

This framework sets out the core values and principles that underpin meaningful Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in health and social care research. Developed by the PPI Ignite Network through collective intelligence workshops with researchers and PPI contributors, it defines what high‑quality, inclusive and ethical PPI looks like in practice. The document articulates shared commitments across the research lifecycle, supporting transparency, respect, collaboration and equity. It serves as a reference to guide researchers, institutions and funders in embedding consistent PPI standards in research activities.
