Upcoming workshop Unlocking the complexity of rare diseases through knowledge graphs

Understanding the intricate biological mechanisms underlying rare diseases remains one of the greatest challenges in biomedical research. In response to this complexity,ERDERA is pleased to host theRare Disease Maps Workshop—a two-day virtual event designed to explore how knowledge graphs and disease mapping can advance research in this field.

The workshop will bring together researchers, data scientists, and healthcare professionals to examine how network-based approaches are being used to shed light on the pathways and mechanisms associated with rare diseases. Attendees will gain insights into the development and application of disease maps—tools that have already demonstrated significant potential in identifying drug targets, biomarkers, and other key molecular interactions.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore current methods for building and analysing rare disease maps, along with available tools and data resources.
  • Learn from real-world case studies where disease maps have supported hypothesis generation and therapeutic discovery.
  • Discover how these methodologies can be applied to their own research to create actionable knowledge graphs.

This event is ideal for anyone looking to translate complex research questions into structured, visual representations of disease mechanisms.

Registration is now open for both sessions of the workshop:

Join ERDERA and take the next step in transforming rare disease research through the power of knowledge graphs.
