Orphan drugs are medicines developed specifically to diagnose, prevent, or treat rare diseases—conditions that individually affect only a small number of patients, but collectively impact over 30 million people in Europe. Because of the limited market potential, these therapies often require dedicated incentives, regulatory support, and international collaboration to come to fruition.

The World Orphan Drug Congress Europe brings togetherover 2 000 attendees,250+ expert speakers, andmore than 130 exhibitors, offering unparalleled networking and learning opportunities. From regulatory affairs and policy to cutting-edgegene therapies, global pricing, patient engagement and access strategies, the event covers a broad and dynamic range of topics shaping the future of rare disease care and orphan drug development.

Attendees include senior leaders from pharmaceutical and biotech industries, researchers, patient advocates, policymakers, healthcare professionals, and representatives from regulatory bodies. The event is widely regarded as a vital space to share insights, build partnerships, and advance the field of rare diseases.
