ERDERA Innovation Management Toolbox (IMT)

Tailored self‑help tools across all stages of innovation, from early research to clinical translation and regulatory preparation.

The Innovation Management Toolbox (IMT) is a comprehensive, freely accessible reference library of resources in rare disease translational medicine. It is designed to provide investigators with self-help tools tailored to their specific needs, supporting all stages of innovation, from early research to clinical translation and regulatory preparation.

Each resource is carefully curated and categorised to improve searchability and help users quickly find the information most relevant to their project.

Originally developed under the European Joint Programme on Rare Diseases (EJP RD), the IMT is now actively maintained and further developed within the ERDERA partnership, building on the EJP RD foundation to strengthen innovation capacity, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing across the rare disease research community.

Who is it for?

The IMT serves the entire rare disease innovation ecosystem, including:

  • Researchers & clinicians working on rare disease projects
  • SMEs and startups developing new diagnostics, therapeutics, digital tools, or services
  • Consortia preparing proposals or implementing funded collaborative projects
