ERDERA Scientific Publication Review Process

This page explains the ERDERA internal review steps for scientific manuscripts and the mandatory wording you must include. It is designed to help you report early, meet Horizon Europe requirements, and coordinate dissemination efficiently.

📝 Report Early

Use the ERDERA Tracker to report publications, including drafts.

  • Once a draft submission is made (not final), both Coordination and Communications teams are informed automatically.
  • This saves time and effort — no separate emails needed.
  • You receive a link to edit your draft and complete missing details later.
Tip: Submitting drafts early is the fastest way to inform both teams and helps them plan ahead for dissemination activities.

🔍 Internal Review

Two routes, depending on manuscript type:

  • Single WP/WS manuscripts: final check by Coordination before submission (confirmation in 24 hours).
  • Transversal manuscripts: step before submission requires 30 days for an in-depth review by Coordination.

The aim is to ensure European Commission requirements are met (funding acknowledgement, disclaimer and, where relevant, EU visual elements). See ERDERA Grant Agreement (Articles 16 and 17) for details.

🔓 Open Access

Open access for peer-reviewed publications:

  • Deposit a machine-readable copy (published version or accepted manuscript) in a trusted repository at the latest at the time of publication.
  • Provide immediate open access via the repository.
  • Use the latest available CC BY licence (or equivalent).

Make sure you retain sufficient rights with the publisher to comply with these requirements.

Mandatory Text for Publications

Use the exact wording below in publications and related dissemination materials, as required by the Grant Agreement.

Acknowledgement & Funding Statement (Co-funded by)
Co-funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme (Grant Agreement No 101156595 — ERDERA).
Official Disclaimer - Co-funded (mandatory wording)
Co-funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the granting authority. Neither the European Union nor the granting authority can be held responsible for them.
Reminder: As a general rule, if the publication has a visual (a cover, poster, flyer) the "Co-funded by the European Union" logo from the EU Logo Assets should be used.

If you need to ensure the acknowledgement and disclaimer have been applied correctly, use the "before submission" review step above.
